Styling & Finish Routine

The final touch is the one everyone sees.

In my salon, a blowout doesn't end with the blow-dryer. Three products to protect, set and finish: just a few, used well.

The signs

Does this happen to you too?

  • Your ends are dry and dull

Blow-dryers and flat irons dry them out wash after wash, and the shine disappears right where it shows the most.

  • Your style doesn't last

You leave the house with perfect hair, and a few hours later the shape is already gone.

  • Flyaways won't stay in place

Two stray strands are all it takes to spoil the whole look.

  • Product weighs your hair down

Too much product makes hair stiff or greasy: with styling, less is always more.

In practice

Here's how I use it

  1. Hair Repair Oil

    Before blow-drying

    The Hair Repair Oil

Two drops on damp ends, to protect them from heat. After styling, a single drop warmed between your hands to add shine. Never apply it to the roots: your hair would lose volume.

  2. Strong Definition Oil No Oil

    To set the shape

    The Oil No Oil

It glides like an oil but isn't greasy, and it holds. For a sleek blowout, apply it to damp hair before blow-drying, section by section; for curls, on wet hair and then diffuse. Always start with a little: the hold is strong.

  3. Styling Wax

    To finish

    The Styling Wax

A tiny amount is enough, warmed between your palms until it's almost clear. Work it in first from the nape upward, then define the front strands: the shape stays light and moves with you.

If you've used too much wax, don't add water: run dry hands through your hair to spread it out.

Questions

The ones I'm asked most often

Do I have to use all three every time?

No. Each one works on its own: choose based on the style you want. The oil is the everyday step; Oil No Oil and wax are for when you need hold or definition.

Are they suitable for fine hair?

Yes, in minimal amounts: the oil only from lengths to ends, never on the roots, and the wax in a tiny amount.

Can Oil No Oil be used on curls?

Yes: apply it to wet hair and dry with a diffuser. On dry hair, a single drop between your fingers is enough to redefine the strands.

Are there any precautions?

Oil No Oil contains wheat, soy and corn proteins: if you're sensitive to these ingredients, test it on a small area first. It also contains alcohol: keep it away from flames and heat sources and don't apply it to irritated skin. All three can make surfaces slippery: wipe residue off floors and sinks.
